Dear Friends,

As you may know, the major renovations of our outdoor athletic facilities have been completed. We are embarking on a fundraising campaign, which will enable us to pay for equipment and structures necessary to complete these renovations, the most significant of which are new bleachers for the multi-purpose turf field.

The 1st phase of St. Joseph High School’s Brick walk has been completed with over 1000 bricks at the entrance to our new Track and Turf field. In addition, two granite memorial benches have been placed next to the walk in memory of Alum and Girls Soccer coach Dave Wade and Maria Taylor, mother of Ryan Taylor ’10 and Chris Taylor ’15. The 2nd phase of the walk will be installed this May and we hope to place another 1000 bricks in the walk.

We would appreciate any assistance you could provide for the student-athletes and all those friends of St. Joseph High School and alumni who utilize the school. The principle means we hope to use in raising the necessary funds is through a memorial that is proposed to be part of a newly constructed entrance to the multi-purpose turf field. You have the opportunity to participate in this by purchasing one or more personalized bricks that will adorn the entrance. The bricks are 4” x 8” x 2 1/4” and are engraved using state of the art laser technology and therefore will not wear off or fade over time. You will be able to design your own brick(s) and to bring your children and grandchildren to St. Joseph High School for years come to see your name and their names forever as a reminder of the many happy memories of your high school years. These bricks can be personalized with your name, class year, the emblem of your favorite sport or school activity, or in the name of a loved-one.

We hope you will take this opportunity to be a part of this very special memorial. As a small token of our appreciation, each donor will receive a replica of the original. The mini brick is 1 _” x 3” x 5/8” and can be used as a paperweight, or given to a loved one or friend as a gift.

Bricks can still be purchased and if you wish to receive information or an application you can contact Athletic Director Jim Olayos at jolayos@sjcadets.org

Thank you for your generous support!
