Tuition and Fees

$12,500 for the 2012-2013 school year inclusive of textbooks. There are no additional class fees.

$200 graduation fee

St. Joseph Admissions Grants

In order to be considered for any of the following awards, the student’s family must submit a financial aid form each year.

Tuition Assistance Awards - individual grants range from $1000 to $3500, according to your percentage ranking by need among all applicants as determined by Private School Aid Service.

The Liptak Scholarship - a need-based award of $4,000 over four years ($1,000 per year) which is awarded by the Cardinal Shehan Center. Recipients must have attended a Cardinal Shehan Center Program during their elementary school years. You should notify the St. Joseph Admissions Office of your involvement in the Cardinal Shehan Center and pick up an application.

St. Joseph Admissions Scholarships

St Joseph High School offers several academic scholarships to incoming students. To be eligible for these scholarships, prospective students must take either the first or second entrance exam. Beginning in the fall of 2012, there will four categories of merit-based awards:

There are three St Joseph Half-Tuition Scholarships awarded to the top performances on the entrance exam by:

                  An enrolling eighth grade student from a Catholic diocesan elementary school

                  An enrolling eighth grade student from a public or private middle school

                  An enrolling eighth grade student who is a child of a St. Joseph High School alumnus

The Presidential Scholarship is a four-year, half-tuition scholarship offered to entering eighth grade students who score 98% or above on the entrance exam, and have the academic record and teacher recommendations reflective of their high scholastic ability.

The Principal’s Scholarship is a $16,000 award over four years ($4,000 per year) and is awarded to those students who score between 94–97% on the entrance exam, and have the academic record and teacher recommendations reflective of their high scholastic ability.

The Cadet Scholarship is a $12,000 award over four years ($3,000 per year) and is awarded to those students who score between 90-93% on the entrance exam, and have the academic record and teacher recommendations reflective of their high scholastic ability.

These awards are renewed each year, provided the student maintains a cumulative academic average of 90% or better, and maintains a positive and responsible presence within the St. Joseph community.
