A Message from the President
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2012-13 Academic Year! These are exciting times for St Joseph High School. We recently graduated a great group of 200 seniors. They won for themselves over $12.3 million in renewable grants and scholarships, and are off to great schools: Notre Dame, Tufts, Yale, Boston College, University of Southern California, Duke….
Yet as they leave, we are opening a new chapter on college preparatory education. The new Robert & Maureen O’Keefe Academic Center will turn our high school setting into a true campus environment. The new Academic Center’s design provides for a research-based library, an art center, several needed smaller classrooms and conference rooms, with a robust wireless network throughout, and a two hundred and forty-nine seat auditorium. The auditorium will be just large enough to seat a full class for lectures, college orientations, musical concerts, and will serve as a gathering place for diverse academic and community events.
This year, we will begin a long range planning exercise that will review and revise every area of our college-oriented curriculum. We offer a full slate of Advanced Placement courses, a pre-engineering program, distance learning opportunities, and college level courses on campus and off. Yet, we are always committed to improving curriculum and instruction.
Finally, we care foremost about friends, family, and our faith. We are a unique community of learners who care about each other. We have an incoming class of 230 first year students. We expect the same for next year, as that is all we can enroll. We hope you will consider joining us.
God keep you until then,

Wm. J. Fitzgerald, Ph.D., M.Div.
